Our Guide To The Best Liverpool Cafes For Students

May 9th 2024

Liverpool is one of the UK’s most popular cities for university go-ers with a student population of roughly 70,000, so it’s no surprise that the café culture is huge here. During your student years, cafes can be a great alternative to the library, providing you with a relaxing place to crack on with the task at hand and enjoy a sweet treat.

Whilst there are tons of Liverpool cafes to choose from, it can be difficult to determine the student-friendly hotspots, but not to worry, that’s where we come in handy. Here at X1, we’re here to provide you with the inside scoop on where to head to when you’re craving a caffeine fix.

The best part about exploring all of the cafes that Liverpool has to offer is that they’re on the doorstep of our properties, so you don’t have to venture far from your student flat. Carry on reading to discover your new favourite venues!

Bekas Cafe

Looking for a cosy independent coffee shop? We urge you to take a visit to Bekas Cafe, Liverpool’s first Kurdish café, serving an array of hot drinks, patisseries, pastries and cakes.

This independent gem is only a short walk away from three of our student properties on London Road, making it a convenient place to head to for a study session.

When it comes to finding something tasty to munch upon whilst working away, there’s the likes of Kurdish breakfasts, filling Mezze platters or grilled halloumi sandwiches.

For the coffee lovers, there’s vanilla lattes, mochas, iced hazelnut lattes and more to choose from here, and the staff are super friendly, so you’re bound to love it as much as us!
